Elmer Borough is a borough located in the Salem County, New Jersey, United States. The borough has a population of 1384 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 1345, It is New Jersey's 53rd smallest by population . It has total area of 0.88 sq mi (2.28 sq km), of which, 0.87 square miles (2.25 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 61st smallest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.
