Ellsworth City is a city located in Hamilton County, Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 531 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 514, making it the 459th most populous in Iowa. The city extends throughout a territory of 0.9 mi˛ (2.33 sq km ), giving it the 428th largest by total area among Iowa.
