Elko City, Nevada is a city of the Elko County, Nevada, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 16708 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 17156, making it the 14th most populous in Nevada. The city spans an area of 14.49 square miles (37.53 sq km), giving it the 41st largest by total area among Nevada.
