Elizabethton City is a city located in the Carter County, Tennessee, United States. It is home to over 13372 people (2000 census). It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 13955, giving it the 36th largest population among Tennessee. Its area is just over 9.38 sq mi (24.29 square kilometre), of which, 9.16 square miles (23.72 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.22 square miles (0.57 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 97th largest by size in Tennessee.
