Elizabeth City City is a one of the Pasquotank and Camden counties, North Carolina, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 17188 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 20025, giving it the 41st largest population among North Carolina. The city spans an area of 9.56 sq mi (24.76 square kilometre), of which, 8.94 square miles (23.15 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.62 square miles (1.61 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 82nd largest by size in North Carolina.
