Elgin City is one of the city of Union County, Oregon, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1654 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1652, It is the 154th most populous in the U.S. state of Oregon. The city encompasses an area of 0.99 sq mi (2.56 sq km), making it Oregon's 195th largest by total area.
