Eldred Borough is a United States borough located in the McKean County, Pennsylvania, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 858 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 795, giving it the 461st smallest population among Pennsylvania. The borough comprises an area of 0.88 square miles (2.28 kmē), it is the 800th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 858 people in the borough, organized into 362 households, and 241 families living in the borough. The population density was 979.3 people per square mile (378.11/kmē), giving it the 436th least densely populated borough among the Pennsylvania. There were 405 housing units at an average density of 460.2 per square mile (177.68/kmē). The average household size was 2.37 people, and the average family size was 2.95 people.
