The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 4392, It is the 338th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 2.34 miē (6.06 kmē), of which, 2.3 square miles (5.96 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the 397th largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
