Elberta Village is a one of the Benzie County, Michigan, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 457 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 437, It is the 87th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.98 square miles (2.54 square kilometre), of which, 0.75 square miles (1.94 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 109th smallest by size in Michigan.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 457 people, 190 households, and 124 families living in the city. The population density was 612.9 people per square mile (236.64/kmē), making its Michigan's 143rd least densely populated city. There were 237 housing units at an average density of 316 per square mile (122.01/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.41 persons, and the average family size was 2.9 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 29.3% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 20.1% from 45 to 64, and 15.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.6 males. The median age was 36.5 years, the median age of male residents at 36.5 and the median age of female residents at 36.5. The racial makeup of the city was 95.62% White, 0.66% Black or African American, 1.31% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 2.19% from two or more races and 0.22% Other races.
