El Reno City, Oklahoma


El Reno City is one of the city of Canadian County, Oklahoma, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 16212 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 16545, making it the 25th most populous in Oklahoma. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 80.42 sq mi (208.29 sq km), of which, 79.98 square miles (207.15 sq km) of it is land and 0.45 square miles (1.17 sq km) of it is water, it is the fifth largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 16212 residents, 5727 households, and 3842 families in the city. The population density was 202.7 people per square mile (78.26/kmē), it would be the 196th least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 6484 housing units at an average density of 81.1 per square mile (31.31/kmē). The average household size was 2.5 and the average family size was 3.08. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 24.2% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 114.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 119.5 males. The median age is 35.2 years, the median age of male residents at 33.8 and the median age of female residents at 37. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 12384 White, 1273 Black or African American, 1594 American Indian, 103 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, 478 from two or more races and 377 Ohter races.
