Egg Harbor City City, New Jersey is a city of the Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. In 2000, the population was 4545. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4379, giving it the 302nd largest population among New Jersey. It covers total area of 11.54 square miles (29.89 sq km), of which, 11.11 square miles (28.77 sq km) of it is land and 0.43 square miles (1.11 sq km) of it is water, it is the 26th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4545 residents, 457 households, and 284 families in the city. The population density was 409.2 people per square mile (157.99/kmē), making it the 21st least densely populated city in New Jersey.
