Edwardsville City is a city located in Madison County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 21491 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 24557, making it Illinois's 100th largest. It is spread over 14.09 square miles (36.49 kmē), of which, 13.87 square miles (35.92 kmē ) of it is land and 0.22 square miles (0.57 kmē) of it is water, it is the 39th largest in terms of geographical size.
