As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 718, It is the 111th smallest by population in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The town encompasses an area of 2.35 miē (6.09 kmē ), of which, 2.12 square miles (5.49 kmē) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 kmē) of it is water, making it South Carolina's 222nd largest by total area.
