Edgewater City is a city in the Volusia County, Florida, United States. In 2000, city's population was 18668 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 21415, making it Florida's 153rd largest. Its area is just over 10.34 miē (26.78 kmē), of which, 9.97 square miles (25.82 kmē) of it is land and 0.37 square miles (0.96 kmē) of it is water, making it Florida's 181st largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 18668 people in the city, organized into 7579 households, and 5463 families residing in the city.
