Edgar City is a city located in Clay County, Nebraska, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 539 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 471, making it Nebraska's 201st largest. It is spread over 0.76 mi˛ (1.97 sq km), makes it the 127th largest by total area in Nebraska.
