Eden Prairie City is one of the city of Hennepin County, Minnesota, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 54901 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 61191, making it Minnesota's 12th largest. The city encompasses an area of 35.22 sq mi (91.22 kmē ), of which, 32.39 square miles (83.89 kmē) of it is land and 2.83 square miles (7.33 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 28th largest by total area among Minnesota.
