Ecorse City is a one of the Wayne County, Michigan, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 11229 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 9858, It is the 102nd most populous in the U.S. state of Michigan. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.62 square miles (9.38 sq km), of which, 2.69 square miles (6.97 sq km) of it is land and 0.93 square miles (2.41 sq km) of it is water, it is the 210th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.
