Economy Town is a one of the Wayne County, Indiana, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 200 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 191, It is the 56th least populous in the U.S. state of Indiana. The town extends throughout a territory of 0.1 sq mi (0.26 sq km ), making it Indiana's 25th smallest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 200 people, 74 households, and 56 families living in the town. The population density was 2062.6 people per square mile (796.37/kmē), making its Indiana's 148th most densely populated town.
