Economy Borough is a borough in the Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population of borough in 2000 stood at 9363 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 9136, It is 119th most populous in Pennsylvania. The borough extends throughout a territory of 17.77 square miles (46.02 square kilometre ), of which, 17.7 square miles (45.84 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 20th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9363 residents, 3528 households, and 2853 families in the borough. The population density was 529 people per square mile (204.25/kmē), it would be the 228th least densely populated borough in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There were 3629 housing units at an average density of 205 per square mile (79.15/kmē). The average household size was 2.65 people, and the average family size was 2.99 people. In the borough the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 28.1% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 100.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 102 females. The median age was 41.6 years, the median age of male residents at 41.1 and the median age of female residents at 42. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 98.33% White, 0.66% Black or African American, 0.1% American Indian, 0.28% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.5% from two or more races and 0.13% Other races.
