Eastport City, Washington County, Maine is a city located in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. It is home to over 1640 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1536, It is the 31st smallest by population in the U.S. state of Maine. The city comprises an area of 12.06 mi˛ (31.24 sq km), of which, 3.66 square miles (9.48 sq km) of it is land and 8.4 square miles (21.76 sq km) of it is water, it is the 27th largest by area in the U.S. state of Maine. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Maine.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1640 people, 750 households, and 445 families living in the city. The population density was 447.7 people per square mile (172.86/km˛), making it the 71st most densely populated city in Maine. There were 1061 housing units at an average density of 289.9 per square mile (111.93/km˛). The average household size was 2.14 persons, and the average family size was 2.69 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 18.7% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 23.5% from 25 to 44, 28.5% from 45 to 64, and 21.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90 males. The median age is 45 years, the median age of male residents at 43.8 and the median age of female residents at 46.6. The racial makeup of the city was 93.6% White, 0.37% Black or African American, 3.96% American Indian, 0.12% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, 1.65% from two or more races and 0.24% Other races.
