East Petersburg Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, borough's population was 4450 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4347, giving it the 322nd largest population among Pennsylvania. The borough has a total area of 1.21 sq mi (3.13 sq km), it is the 630th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4450 people in the borough, organized into 1708 households, and 1327 families living in the borough. The population density was 3688.6 people per square mile (1424.18/kmē), it is Pennsylvania's 280th most densely populated borough. There were 1766 housing units at an average density of 1459.5 per square mile (563.52/kmē). The average household size was 2.6 people, and the average family size was 2.95 people. In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.2 males. The median age was 38.3 years, The median age of males and females living in East Petersburg Borough was 36.5 and 40.2 years respectively. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 95.03% White, 1.35% Black or African American, 0.16% American Indian, 1.1% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, 1.12% from two or more races and 1.17% Other races.
