East Hampton Village is a United States city located in the Suffolk County, New York, United States. In 2000, the population was 1334. The July 2008 population estimate is 1394, making it the 334th least populous in New York. It is spread over 4.9 square miles (12.69 square kilometre), of which, 4.76 square miles (12.33 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is water, making it New York's 206th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1334 people in the city, organized into 635 households, and 337 families residing in the city. The population density was 280.3 people per square mile (108.22/kmē), it is the 65th least populated city in terms of population density. There were 1745 housing units at an average density of 366.6 per square mile (141.55/kmē). The average household size was 2.07 people, and the average family size was 2.68 people. Age range in the city was well distributed with 14.4% under the age of 18, 4.5% from 18 to 24, 22.6% from 25 to 44, 31.3% from 45 to 64, and 27.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 95.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.6 males. The median age is 51.9 years, the median age of male residents at 48.6 and the median age of female residents at 54. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1242 White, 19 Black or African American, 2 American Indian, 25 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 21 from two or more races and 25 Ohter races.
