East Greenville Borough, Pennsylvania


East Greenville Borough is one of the borough of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, borough's population was 3103 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3017, making it the 443rd most populous in Pennsylvania. It is spread over 0.52 sq mi (1.35 square kilometre), it is the 326th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3103 residents, 1124 households, and 806 families in the borough. The population density was 5978.9 people per square mile (2308.47/kmē), making its Pennsylvania's 95th most densely populated borough. There were 1173 housing units at an average density of 2255.8 per square mile (870.97/kmē). The average household size was 2.76 persons, and the average family size was 3.24 persons. In the borough Age distribution was 31.4% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 36.5% from 25 to 44, 16.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.2 males. The median age was 31.7 years, the median age of male residents at 30.6 and the median age of female residents at 32.9. The racial makeup of the borough was 96.78% White, 0.9% Black or African American, 0.13% American Indian, 0.52% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.77% from two or more races and 0.9% Other races.
