Eagle Lake City is a United States city located in the Polk County, Florida, United States. The population of the city was 2496 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2734, It is the 582nd largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 1.43 square miles (3.7 square kilometre), of which, 1.39 square miles (3.6 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 217th smallest by size in Florida.
