Eagle City is a one of the Ada County, Idaho, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. Eagle City had an official population of 11085 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 19471, It is Idaho's 14th largest by population . The city extends throughout a territory of 9.28 sq mi (24.04 sq km ), of which, 9.19 square miles (23.8 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, it is the 16th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks 14 in the size of its inland waterways in Idaho.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11085 residents, 3864 households, and 3097 families in the city. The population density was 1206.3 people per square mile (465.76/kmē), it would be the 95th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Idaho. There were 4048 housing units at an average density of 440.5 per square mile (170.08/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.87 persons, and the average family size was 3.23 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 32.6% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.5 males.
