Durant City is a one of the Bryan County, Oklahoma, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 13549 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 16450, It is the 31st most populous in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The city has a total area of 19.06 sq mi (49.37 kmē), of which, 19.03 square miles (49.29 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's 53rd largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 13549 people, 5488 households, and 3310 families residing in the city. The population density was 712.1 people per square mile (274.94/kmē), giving it the 292nd most densely populated city among the Oklahoma.
