Du Quoin City is a one of the Perry County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 6448 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 6326, It is Illinois's 273rd largest by population . It covers total area of 6.93 mi˛ (17.95 square kilometre), of which, 6.86 square miles (17.77 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 138th largest in terms of geographical size.
