Driggs City, Idaho


Driggs City is a city in the Teton County, Idaho, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1100 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 1362 in July 2008, It is the 76th most populous in the U.S. state of Idaho. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.04 sq mi (2.69 square kilometre ), making it Idaho's 84th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1100 people, 386 households, and 253 families living in the city. The population density was 1054.5 people per square mile (407.14/kmē), it is 111th most densely populated city in Idaho. There were 449 housing units at an average density of 431.7 per square mile (166.68/kmē). The average household size was 2.83 people, and the average family size was 3.44 people. In the city Age distribution was 30.5% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 34.6% from 25 to 44, 15.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 112.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.3 males. The median age of the city's population was 29.5 years, the median age of male residents at 28.8 and the median age of female residents at 30.8. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 83.73% White, 0.09% Black or African American, 0.73% American Indian, 0% Asian, 0.73% Native Hawaiian, 1.09% from two or more races and 13.64% Other races.
