Dresden Town is a one of the Weakley County, Tennessee, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2855. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2841, giving it the 143rd largest population among Tennessee. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.32 mi˛ (13.78 square kilometre), of which, 5.31 square miles (13.75 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 166th largest by size in Tennessee.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2855 people in the town, organized into 5369 households, and 3232 families residing in the town. The population density was 537.9 people per square mile (207.68/km˛), making it the 200th most densely populated town in Tennessee. There were 1331 housing units at an average density of 250.7 per square mile (96.8/km˛). The average household size was 2.22 persons, and the average family size was 2.78 persons.
