Dows City is one of the city of Wright and Franklin counties, Iowa, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 675. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 555, making it the 397th most populous in Iowa. It has total area of 0.8 square miles (2.07 sq km), of which, 0.78 square miles (2.02 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 460th largest by total area in Iowa.
