As per the 2000 census, census designated place has a population of 2798 inhabitants. It is the 559th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. Its area is just over 2.64 sq mi (6.84 sq km), of which, 2.61 square miles (6.76 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, it is the 534th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
