Douglas County, Georgia is a county of the United States of Georgia. As of 2000 the population was 92174. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 127932, giving it the 16th largest population among Georgia's county. Its area is just over 200.26 sq mi (518.67 square kilometre), of which, 199.3 square miles (516.18 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.96 square miles (2.49 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 21st smallest by total area in Georgia.

The population density was 462.5 people per square mile (178.57/kmē), it is the 13th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 34825 housing units at an average density of 174.7 per square mile (67.45/kmē). The average household size was 2.78 persons, and the average family size was 3.17 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 27.6% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 33.5% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 7.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 103.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.6 females. Its population was estimated at 127932 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 61.24% White, 35.22% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 1.52% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 1.67% from two or more races.
