Dodge County is a county located in Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 85897 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 87912, It is the 17th most populous county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 906.99 sq mi (2349.09 square kilometre), of which, 882.28 square miles (2285.09 square kilometre) of it is land and 24.71 square miles (64 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 30th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 85897 people, 31417 households, and 22313 families living in the county. The population density was 97.4 people per square mile (37.61/kmē), it is the 20th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 33672 housing units at an average density of 38.2 per square mile (14.75/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.56 persons, and the average family size was 3.05 persons. In the county Age distribution was 24.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 14% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 109.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 110.8 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 87912, The racial makeup of the county was 83986 White, 2632 Black or African American, 432 American Indian, 333 Asian, 25 Native Hawaiian, and 504 from two or more races.
