Dodge County is a one of the county from Minnesota's 87 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 17731. In July 2008, its estimated population was 19751, giving it the 48th largest population among Minnesota's county. The county comprises an area of 439.63 sq mi (1138.64 sq km), of which, 439.5 square miles (1138.3 sq km) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 sq km) of it is water, it is the ninth smallest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

The population density was 40.3 people per square mile (15.56/kmē), making it the 32nd most densely populated county in Minnesota. There were 6642 housing units at an average density of 15.1 per square mile (5.83/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.73 persons, and the average family size was 3.15 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 30.2% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 20.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 102.1 females. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 19751, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.06% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 0.2% American Indian, 0.56% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.84% from two or more races.
