Dimmitt City is a city in the Castro County, Texas, United States. In 2000, the population was 4375. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3701, making it the 381st most populous in Texas. The city comprises an area of 2.07 sq mi (5.36 square kilometre), it is the 818th largest by area in the U.S. state of Texas.
