Dickinson County is a county located in Iowa, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 16424 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 16775, It is 43rd most populous county in Iowa. Its area is just over 403.69 square miles (1045.55 square kilometre), of which, 381.06 square miles (986.94 square kilometre) of it is land and 22.63 square miles (58.61 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the fifth smallest by total area among Iowa's county. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Iowa.
