Dexter Town is a town located in the Laurens County, Georgia, United States. As of 2000 the population was 509. The July 2008 population estimate is 547, giving it the 169th smallest population among Georgia. The town extends throughout a territory of 0.77 mi˛ (1.99 square kilometre ), of which, 0.76 square miles (1.97 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 36th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 509 people, 207 households, and 143 families residing in the town. The population density was 670.4 people per square mile (258.84/km˛), it is the 247th most populated town in terms of population density.
