Destin City is a city located in Okaloosa County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 11119 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 12563, It is the 247th largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. The city spans an area of 8.18 mi˛ (21.19 square kilometre), of which, 7.53 square miles (19.5 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.65 square miles (1.68 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 224th largest by size in Florida.
