Deschutes County, Oregon is a county located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. Deschutes County had an official population of 115367 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 158456 in July 2008, making it the seventh most populous county in Oregon. The county spans an area of 3054.77 square miles (7911.82 square kilometre), of which, 3018.15 square miles (7816.97 square kilometre) of it is land and 36.61 square miles (94.82 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 11th largest by size in Oregon.
