Demorest City is a United States city located in the Habersham County, Georgia, United States. The city has a population of 1465 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1797, It is the 286th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 2.3 sq mi (5.96 sq km), of which, 2.27 square miles (5.88 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 339th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.
