Dekalb County is a county in the United States of Indiana. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 40285 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 41884, It is Indiana's 35th most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 363.84 miē (942.34 kmē ), of which, 362.88 square miles (939.85 kmē) of it is land and 0.97 square miles (2.51 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 25th smallest by total area among Indiana's county.
