Defiance County is a United States county located in the United States of Ohio. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Defiance County is home to 39500 inhabitants. The county extends throughout a territory of 414.19 square miles (1072.75 sq km ), of which, 411.16 square miles (1064.9 sq km) of it is land and 3.03 square miles (7.85 sq km) of it is water, making it the 22nd smallest by size in Ohio.

For every 100 females there were 97.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males.
