Defiance City is one of the city of Defiance County, Ohio, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 16465 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 16063, It is the 105th largest by population in the U.S. state of Ohio. The city spans an area of 11.03 miē (28.57 kmē), of which, 10.54 square miles (27.3 kmē) of it is land and 0.49 square miles (1.27 kmē) of it is water, it is the 80th largest in terms of geographical size.
