Deerfield Village, Lake and Cook counties, Illinois is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 18420 people (2000 census). The July 2008 population estimate is 19667, making it the 124th most populous in Illinois. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.52 mi˛ (14.3 sq km), of which, 5.48 square miles (14.19 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, making it the 194th largest by size in Illinois.

As of the census of 2000, there were 18420 people, 6420 households, and 5164 families living in the city. The population density was 3359.4 people per square mile (1297.07/km˛), it is the 121st most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Illinois. The median age is 39.6 years, the median age of male residents at 38.8 and the median age of female residents at 40.4. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 95.88% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 0.04% American Indian, 2.52% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 0.77% from two or more races and 0.43% Other races.
