Deer River City, Itasca County, Minnesota is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 903 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 918, It is the 355th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city encompasses an area of 1.06 square miles (2.75 square kilometre), making it Minnesota's 476th largest by total area.
