Decatur Town is a town located in Meigs County, Tennessee, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1395. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1476, giving it the 221st largest population among Tennessee. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.56 sq mi (6.63 kmē), making it Tennessee's 247th largest by total area.
