De Witt City is a city in the Clinton County, Iowa, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 5049 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 5260 in July 2008, giving it the 77th largest population among Iowa. The city spans an area of 4.87 square miles (12.61 square kilometre), it is the 70th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
