De Soto City is a city in the Johnson County, Kansas, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the De Soto City is home to 4561 inhabitants. Its area is just over 11.32 mi˛ (29.32 sq km), it is the 18th largest in terms of geographical size.
