Dayton City, Montgomery County, Ohio is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 166179 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 154200 in July 2008, It is the sixth most populous in the U.S. state of Ohio. The city has a total area of 56.63 square miles (146.67 square kilometre), of which, 55.78 square miles (144.47 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.85 square miles (2.2 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the sixth largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is ranks 17 in the size of its inland waterways in Ohio.
