Dayton City is a United States city located in the Franklin County, Idaho, United States. Dayton City had an official population of 444 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 442, making it Idaho's 132nd largest. The city encompasses an area of 6.61 miē (17.12 kmē ), of which, 6.59 square miles (17.07 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 22nd largest by total area among Idaho.
